Seminar by Dr. Borja Erice at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid

Dr. Borja Erice, member of the Spanish Network on Multiscale Mechanics of Innovative Engineering Materials (MORE), delivered a seminar at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) to explore new research avenues on the shock response of metal matrix composites.

This visit marks the beginning of a collaboration between UC3M and Dr. Erice’s research group at Mondragón University, fostering synergy between national projects funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. The joint effort aims to advance the experimental and computational understanding of the dynamic behavior of advanced composites under extreme loading conditions.

The initiative strengthens the links among research teams within the MORE network and reinforces the collaborative ecosystem in the field of multiscale and multiphysics modeling of innovative materials in Spain.
